Roles and Responsibilities: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Primary Years Programme Coordinator who will play a crucial role in establishing a strong foundation for our school's PYP program, ensuring its successful implementation, growth, and alignment with IB principles. Key Responsibilities:

1.  Curriculum Design and Integration:

  • Foster collaborative efforts with educators to conceive, craft, and execute a robust IB Primary Years Programme.

  • Guarantee adherence to IB standards, fostering a curriculum that champions inquiry-driven education and cultivates students' holistic growth.

  • Deliver pertinent PYP curriculum resources to educators, facilitating their effective implementation.

  • Spearhead annual reviews of the Programme of Inquiry to enhance its relevance and effectiveness.

2.  Teacher Leadership and Support:

  • Provide adequate guidance, induction, and mentorship, to team members.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement among the teaching staff.

  • Provide opportunities for teachers to observe one another in practice. Schedule classroom observations.

3.  Student Learning and Well-being:

  • Oversee student progress, well-being, and social-emotional development within the primary program.

  • Implement strategies to support students with diverse learning needs and create an inclusive learning environment.

4.  Parent and Community Engagement:

  • Establish strong communication channels with parents to keep them informed about the curriculum, student progress, and school events.

  • Organize and facilitate parent-teacher conferences and other engagement activities.

5.  Resource Management:

  • Manage resources, materials, and technology necessary for effective curriculum delivery.

  • Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure classrooms are equipped with the required teaching aids and tools.

6.  Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Develop assessment strategies aligned with IB principles, including formative and summative assessments.

  • Analyze student performance data to make data-driven decisions for instructional improvement.

7.  Professional Development:

  • Stay current with educational trends, IB updates, and best practices in primary education.

  • Lead and participate in professional development opportunities for self and teaching staff.

8.  Collaborative Leadership:

  • Work closely with other coordinators and administrators to maintain a cohesive and integrated school culture.

  • Collaborate on school-wide events, policies, and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Education or a related field.

  • Relevant teaching experience in the PYP.

  • Strong understanding of the IB curriculum framework and philosophy.

  • Leadership experience with demonstrated ability to lead teams independently.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • A passion for innovation and student-centered learning.

Report to the vice Principal of any student absent for more than two days b. Report to the Vice Principal with a pattern of late arrival or behavior problems

Deliver memos counselors to student ( Grade 4 to 8) c. Discuss issues of relevance with the students d. · Planning, preparing and presenting differentiated lessons that cater the needs of the whole ability range within their class.

· Motivating students with enthusiastic, imaginative class activities.

· Preparing, marking and providing feedback to facilitate positive student development.

development.

Providing feedback to parents on student's progress.

Requirements

· Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Education/Teaching or equivalent.
