Isha Vidhya is one of the entity of Isha Foundation. We are a chain of schools having our operations in TN & AP. This is a social empowerment project in which we focus of providing quality education to the rural community.
Isha Vidhya, a not for profit education initiative, works for the economic and social empowerment of rural children in the villages across southern state of Tamil Nadu, India. Through this effort, the foundation is committed to raising the level of education and literacy in rural India and to helping disadvantaged children realize their full potential.
The foundation through its Isha Vidhya schools offer a nurturing approach to education in villages. Isha Vidhya has been an active supporter of promoting education among female children in the villages and all our schools have seen an increased enrollment of girl children.
Isha Vidhya currently runs 9 schools (Click here for School Location ) and this has had a great impact in the lives of villages in the surrounding locality. Our 8th school was started in the year 2012-13 at Aragonda Village, Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh sponsored by Apollo Hospitals and 9th school started in the year 2013-14 at Samichettipatty village, Dharmapuri Dt. Tamil Nadu.The schools presently cater to more than 8145 students from nearby villages, with approximately 62% of students on free education through donations from our scholarship program.
