Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Admission Counsellor to join our dynamic Admissions department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding prospective students through the entire application process, providing personalized advice, and ensuring a positive and informative experience for all applicants. This role is crucial in attracting and enrolling high-caliber students into our institution.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive counseling sessions with prospective students and parents, addressing their queries regarding programs, admissions procedures, financial aid, and campus life.
  • Manage the end-to-end application process, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted within stipulated deadlines.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of prospective students through proactive outreach, virtual and in-person events, and relationship building.
  • Provide detailed information about academic programs, course offerings, institutional policies, and admission requirements in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Analyze applicant profiles to assess suitability and recommend appropriate pathways for admission.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students, ensuring timely and professional communication at all stages.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in a counseling, sales, or admissions role, preferably within an educational institution.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and the ability to build rapport quickly with diverse stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage a high volume of applications and multiple concurrent counseling sessions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in CRM software and standard office productivity tools.

Job Scope

The Admission Counsellor will be responsible for driving the admissions funnel, converting inquiries into enrolled students, and ensuring a seamless transition from inquiry to enrollment. The ultimate goal is to enhance the quality of the applicant pool while maintaining high standards of student satisfaction and institutional reputation.
