Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate science lessons aligned with the primary curriculum standards.
- Create a stimulating and safe classroom environment that encourages curiosity, experimentation, and collaborative learning.
- Assess student progress through various formative and summative methods, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Integrate real-world scientific concepts into lessons to make learning relevant and exciting for primary students.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and administration to support school-wide science initiatives and curriculum development.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree in Science or a related field is mandatory.
- Experience: 2 to 7 years of proven teaching experience, preferably at the primary level.
- Pedagogy: Strong understanding of primary science pedagogy, inquiry-based learning techniques, and differentiation strategies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex scientific concepts simply.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using educational technology tools to enhance science instruction.
