Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary English Teacher (PGT) with a minimum of five years of experience to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong command of the English language, a deep understanding of primary education pedagogy, and the ability to foster a love for reading and writing in students from grades 1 through 5. This full-time role requires an individual who is not only academically proficient but also emotionally intelligent, capable of building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate English language lessons covering reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and creative writing for grades 1-5.
- Design and implement differentiated lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs, ensuring all students meet curriculum standards and achieve academic growth.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and assessment results, utilizing data to inform instructional strategies and provide timely feedback to parents.
- Facilitate a positive and inclusive classroom culture by encouraging active participation, collaboration, and critical thinking among students.
- Collaborate with the teaching staff to organize school-wide events, parent-teacher meetings, and extracurricular activities that enhance the overall student experience.
- Monitor student behavior and implement positive reinforcement strategies to promote discipline and personal development.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Possession of a valid Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) certification or equivalent degree in English Education or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of proven experience teaching English in a primary school setting (grades 1-5).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong grasp of English grammar, syntax, and literature.
- Proficiency in using digital learning tools and educational software to enhance classroom instruction and student engagement.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced school environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing school needs.
