Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Sanskrit to join our academic institution. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Sanskrit language, literature, and grammar, with the ability to effectively teach secondary school students. This role is crucial for fostering an appreciation for classical Indian literature and linguistic heritage among the younger generation. The selected candidate will be responsible for curriculum delivery, classroom management, and student mentorship in a full-time capacity.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Deliver comprehensive lectures on Sanskrit grammar (Vyakaran), literature (Kavya), and philosophy, ensuring alignment with the secondary school curriculum standards.
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate interactive methods to help students grasp complex linguistic concepts and textual analysis.
- Prepare and evaluate students for board examinations, providing regular feedback and remedial coaching to improve academic performance.
- Mentor students in the study of Sanskrit texts, fostering critical thinking and a love for literature through discussions on poetry, drama, and epics.
- Collaborate with the administration to organize cultural events, seminars, and workshops related to Sanskrit and Indian heritage.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress reports.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Master's degree (M.A./M.Ed) in Sanskrit or a related field from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of relevant teaching experience at the secondary or senior secondary level.
- Strong command over Sanskrit language, including reading, writing, and speaking skills.
- Proficiency in Hindi or English, as the medium of instruction may vary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a diverse classroom environment.
- Knowledge of educational technology tools to enhance the learning experience.
