1. Job Overview
INVICTA School is seeking enthusiastic, committed and creative Primary Subject Teachers to contribute to the academic development of students from Grade 1 to Grade 5. As a start-up school, teachers will play an active role in building the academic culture, classroom practices and student experience of the school.
The role will involve effective subject teaching along with curriculum planning, resource development, student assessment, school activities and participation in the overall development of the school.
2. Key Responsibilities & Duties
Teaching & Learning: Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate and experiential lessons in the assigned subject, ensuring clear learning outcomes and active student participation.
Lesson Planning & Curriculum: Prepare lesson plans, learning resources, worksheets, activities and projects aligned with the school curriculum and academic framework. Contribute to curriculum development and improvement as required.
Student Progress: Assess student learning through classwork, projects, activities and formal assessments. Maintain records, identify learning gaps and provide appropriate support.
Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom that encourages curiosity, participation, collaboration, confidence and independent learning.
Learning Resources: Develop and organise teaching-learning materials and contribute to the creation of subject resources, displays, projects and student portfolios.
Academic & Non-Academic Activities: Participate in assemblies, clubs, competitions, projects, celebrations, field trips, exhibitions and other school activities.
Parent & Student Engagement: Maintain professional communication with students and parents regarding learning progress and participate in PTMs and other parent interactions.
School Development & Events: As a start-up school, actively support admission events, orientations, open houses, exhibitions, school displays and other activities that contribute to building the school culture and community.
Documentation & Coordination: Maintain lesson plans, assessment records, student portfolios and other academic documentation. Coordinate with the Coordinator and other teachers for interdisciplinary learning and school activities.
3. Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience: 2–5 years of relevant teaching experience at the Primary level. Experience in a reputed CBSE/K-12 school will be preferred.
Subject & Pedagogical Skills: Strong subject knowledge with an understanding of child-centred, experiential and activity-based learning approaches.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong English communication skills with the ability to engage students, parents and colleagues effectively.
Core Competencies: Creativity, patience, planning, classroom management, collaboration, adaptability, initiative and strong ownership.
Technical Skills: Good working knowledge of MS Office, Google Workspace, smart classroom tools and school ERP/LMS platforms.
4. Job Scope
The Primary Subject Teacher will be responsible for the effective teaching and learning of the assigned subject from Grade 1 to Grade 5, including lesson planning, resource development, assessment, student support and academic documentation.
As part of a start-up school, the teacher is expected to contribute beyond classroom teaching by supporting curriculum development, school events, admission activities, projects, exhibitions and the creation of a strong school culture. The role requires a hands-on, collaborative and adaptable professional who is willing to take ownership and contribute to building the school from the ground up.
