We are seeking a dedicated and creative TGT Art Teacher with 3-5 years of experience to join our middle school faculty. Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging art lessons that align with the middle school curriculum, covering various mediums such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
- Manage the art classroom and studio environment, ensuring safety protocols are followed while maintaining a clean and organized space for students to work.
- Assess student progress through portfolios, projects, and observations, providing constructive feedback to help students improve their technical skills and artistic vision.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art into broader educational themes and participate in departmental meetings and school events.
- Organize and supervise art exhibitions, fairs, and extracurricular activities to showcase student work and engage the wider school community.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral observations in the school's digital management system.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Education, or a related field.
- Valid TGT (Teacher Eligibility Test) certification for the subject of Art.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience teaching art at the middle school level.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for lesson planning and creating digital art projects.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with students and parents.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Job Scope
This role encompasses the full spectrum of middle school art education, from initial lesson planning to final exhibition curation. The TGT Art Teacher is expected to not only teach technical art skills but also to cultivate an appreciation for the arts, encouraging students to think critically and express themselves creatively.
