Key Skills :

The Head of School plays a critical role in the leadership, development and support in the set up and management of the school operations. This position will provide direction, vision and will contribute to the building of systems which result in the success of the school.  The Head of School is responsible for the effective general management of the School, providing the academic leadership and strategic insight as well as for the overall quality of the student experience.

Play a key active role in developing a strategic plan for the school, in consultation Leadership. Review and report strategic plan to the Leadership on a scheduled basis.

Analyse and deliver marketing approach to announce the school brand in order to acquire desired student enrolments. Build the school name to maximise reach of awareness and drive for admission conversions.

Responsible for financial matters, including financial planning and sustainability, resource allocation, monitoring of expenditure to ensure appropriateness, ensuring budget allocation is as per strategic and operational planning and management approved financial policies. Preparing an annual report in agreement with and for consideration by the School’s Committee

Creating a supportive work environment for all staff in the School and fostering their career development. Handle grievance procedures suitably for any staff escalations. Supporting and mentoring all school staff appropriately on all School related issues. Attend school-based meetings and events to foster a culture of engagement with staff, parents and community

Overall responsibility for the effective implementation of the School's academic policy; fostering the development of academic policy and initiatives within the framework of the School’s vision and strategy. Ensure any administrative support as required for smooth academic functioning. Promote excellence in all matters of teaching, learning, research and administration. Ensuring regular review, evaluation and development of programmes offered by the School.

Represent the School both internally and externally. Responsible for liaisoning with third party vendors, accreditation & affiliation bodies and all external parties. Ensuring the effective operations of the School in adherence to approved governance procedures. Ensuring the School's administration complies with legal and local body requirements and related School policies such as health, safety and protection of the interests of all student, staff and school community are always of utmost importance.
